The mausoleum of
Khoja Durbod is located on the territory of the village of Khoja Durbod, jamoat
T. Sadriddinov, Shakhrituz district. The building was built of baked bricks.
The base of the building is square, and the low views are decorated in
takdartak and nijwon style. This style of decoration (made of small bricks
22×22 cm) is a unique example. On the base, on three sides, there are eight
stable windows, the bricks of which are located vertically and horizontally.
The packaging is unusual. Despite the fact that the base is square on the
outside, the inner wall is octagonal, and this shape has no analogues in the
architecture of Central Asia.
On the other
side walls (except for the entrance) there are not very deep rectangular
windows, the ground is covered with red flowers.
The mausoleum of
Khoja Durbod differs from other monuments by its extraordinary beauty. To the north,
a large porch was erected, which occupied most of the building. Its towers are
decorated with decorative ornaments. Part of the dome is damaged. The mausoleum
of Khoja Durbod is very beautiful.
The use of
unusual architectural techniques, reflecting the characteristics of the local
building art, has increased its historical and artistic value.
